Ordering info...
We can take orders online and ship any size order anywhere in the country for just $10 (follow the above link to our store to order), or we also welcome driveway pickup at the farm! For in person pickup please contact me and let me know what you want to order, and what day you prefer to pickup (I don't accept pickups on Sunday, but Saturday or during the week is usually just fine), and wether you want to pay cash at pickup, or prepay through Stripe (no account needed. Accepts most of the major cards and Apple Pay) so that I can reserve your garlic ahead of time.
How It All Began...
It all started in the fall of 2020... A very good friend of mine had heard that I was interested in medicinal herb gardening and one evening at church he came over and handed me a few bulbs each of three different garlic varieties and said that he had heard about my interest in medicinal herb gardening and that he wanted to give me some garlic varieties that he had been growing very successfully for years. I exclaimed; "You can grow garlic in Kansas?!" I had no idea garlic could be grown virtually anywhere in the US and had always assumed garlic was just like turmeric or ginger that grew mainly in the tropics. I accepted his offer and discovered a real joy for growing great garlic! Since then my list of varieties has expanded quite a bit and my passion for growing garlic has surpassed my abilities to consume so much garlic! So, I determined the best thing for all of this abundance was to offer my garlic to you as well!
Our Commitment and Growing Practices...
Whether you use garlic in the kitchen, or want to get started growing it (watch out, this is pretty fun and maybe a little addictive...!), we can help! Our garlic is perfect for any purpose!
Our garlic is grown using regenerative (beyond organic) practices that rejuvenate the soil and the plants in it, by cover cropping and remineralizing according to the high Brix gardening methods. Brix is a measure of nutrient density in foods. "Certified Organic" means very little in terms of how good for you something is, it only protects you to an extent from chemicals. All of this is done to provide the highest quality garlic with the greatest nutrient density for whatever your needs are. High Brix garlic has an extremely flavorful profile and the plants grown from a high Brix bulb are outstandingly hardy. There is a saying that goes; "you are what you eat" we have certainly found this to be true for our own family which is why we are striving to grow the healthiest garlic possible because we know that healthy soil = healthy plants/food and healthy plants/food = healthy people!
